Manchester United forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic ripped into Premier League rivals after their EFL Cup win over Southampton on Sunday.
The former Paris Saint Germain helped the Red Devils to a memorable cup win with a double to cancel out Manolo Gabbiadini’s effort for the Saints. After the match, Ibrahimovic in his usual egoistic nature took time to mock the rivals.
He said: ‘We are winning. After seven months I have two trophies with this club, there are other clubs that didn’t win for 10 years. I’ve won what they won in 10 years, so I’m happy with that.’
Ibrahimovic’s comments may be directed at the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal that have not being able to compete at the top in the last decade due to different reasons.
The lanky Swede also took time to troll teammate, Paul Pogba who said: “That’s why we bought him.” during the post-match interview; before Zlatan interrupted by saying: “Bought me? I came for free. They bought you.”
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has continued to prove his critics wrong with his performances for the Red Devils since arrived last summer window, becoming a key figure for Jose Mourinho with consistent impressive performances.
