Usain Bolt Wins His First Olympic Race, Qualifies To Semi-Final | Ran 100m In 10.07 Seconds

Usain Bolt is a bad, bad man. The 29-year-old sprinter may have had more questions surrounding him before these Olympics than in previous runs, but Bolt has at least answered the bell to this point.
Bolt, running in heat 7 for the 100-meter sprint competition, came out of the blocks slow.

He was trailing the lead pace in the first 30-40 meters, but then, as he looked over to see where the leaders were, Bolt realized just the speed he needed to get to the front and win the heat with ease. Just look at this silliness.
Bolt will now move onto Sunday’s semifinals where he will run in lane 5 against American Trayvon Bromell.
He will participate in the second of three semifinal races for the event. His race is scheduled to begin at 8:07 p.m. ET on NBC. Bromell posted a 10.13 in his heat on Saturday, looking pretty strong.
Long-time competitor Justin Gatlin will also be in the semifinals after posting a 10.01 time on Saturday. He will be in the third and final semifinal on Sunday at 8:14 p.m. ET.
The finals will take place shortly after the semis and are set for Sunday at 9:25 p.m. ETon NBC.
