The writer of the infamous 'Becky with the good hair' clears up confusion about the lyrics

The songwriter who wrote the most talked about lyric on Beyonce's Lemonade album, 'Becky with the good hair', has cleared up any connection to Jay Z's alleged mistress Rachel Roy...

The night Lemonade visual album premiered on HBO, Rachel Roy started the drama by referring to herself as having 'good hair' just hours after the song hit the airways containing the lyric, "He only wants me when I'm not there/He betta call Becky with the good hair. Many then assumed it was about her..

Diana Gordon, who co-wrote Sorry with Beyonce for the Lemonade album, expresses her shock at the backlash that ensued.

'I was like, "What day in age from that lyric do you get all of this information? Is it really telling you all that much, accusing people?"'
'I don't think she expected it."
'I saw her at her Formation tour. She had a pyjama party; we laughed, we danced, we hugged it out. But I didn't say much about it at the time because I wanted to give her space."
'The idea started in my mind but it's not mine anymore. It was very funny and amusing to me to watch it spread over the world."
