A user’s experience of the Phantom 6 plus 21MP camera

Mobile phone cameras have given everyone the chance to capture amazing images whenever they please, but it takes expertise and a good mobile camera to capture truly amazing images.

As a hobbyist Photographer, my choice of mobile phones over the years has been hugely dependent on its camera quality.
I have had some of the best performing camera phones in the past but with the space of technological advancement in mobile phone camera hardware-the need for upgrade becomes imperative, as most of my old devices can no longer compete with the latest trends in town.

TECNO’s first device with 21MP Sony IMX230 camera.
The news for the latest phantom flagship device from TECNO was everywhere and I also read that it’s the first device from the company to be launched outside of Africa. The device, which was launched in Armani Hotel inside the world tallest building was, tagged the beast online. It packs a deca-core processor, 4GB of RAM and 21 MP real camera.

I got the Phantom 6 plus few weeks after its launch and I have loved it for its camera ever since then. The device is fitted with 21 mega pixel Sony rear camera and 8MP front camera.

This picture was taken with the default setting on the camera.
Zooming in on the house painted with silver colour to activate the 4X zoom mode at the same spot produces this great output.

Excellent 4X Super Zoom Mode on the Phantom 6 plus

The camera on the Phantom 6 plus has different modes to play with but as a person that loves to visit different places, the Super pixel and 4X super Zoom modes are my favourite, because I don’t have to move closer to an object, I can zoom in on any distant objects without losing much quality. Zooming in on any object can activate the Super Zoom mode.

Here are some of images I took with the device.

A picture taken at a distance with the camera.

A 4X zoom image taken at the same distant. The focus was on the house with a satellite disc and the image quality still looks great.

In conclusion, with the quality of pictures taken by the 21MP camera, the Phantom 6 plus has exceeded my expectation for a device retailing for N133, 000.
