Stoke city are reportedly ready to swoop for the services of Manchester United Defender Phil Jones.
The English defender has not have the best of time at the Old Trafford since his arrival in 2011 under United Legend manager, Alex Ferguson for a substantial £16.5million fee from Blackburn Rovers and has continued to slip down the pecking order due to injuries and inconsistent displays.
It also appears Jose Mourinho will not need the services of the defender as he is yet to be included in the squad in two Premier League games under the Portuguese.
Reports gathered suggests Jones will not feature in Mourinho’s plans which have prompted Stoke city to ask about the availability of a loan deal for the rest of the Premier league season.
The England International who played just ten games for the Red Devils last season due to injury managed just 22 league games the season before that.
With three years on his contract, a loan move to Stoke city may offer the defender a leeway out of a sliding football career.
