Kidnapped Ekiti INEC Administrative Secretary regains freedom

The Administrative Secretary of the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) in Ekiti State, Dr Muslim Omoleke, who was kidnapped  by unknown gunmen last Thursday has been released.
Omoleke was released by his abductors on Friday night, November 4th. The INEC boss was at Iwaraja community, near Ilesa in Osun State, on November 3, along with his son and official driver while on their way back to Ekiti State from official visits to Ondo and Osun States. The gunmen drove them into a forest in Ijeshaland and later released his son and driver.


Confirming the release, the Public Relations Officer of INEC, Ekiti, Alhaji Taiwo Gbadegesin, thanked the press, security agents, the Osun, Ekiti and Ondo police commands for their efforts in the quick release of Dr. Omoleke 

"Our sincere gratitude goes to the Commissioner of Police for Osun, CP Adeoye Fimihan and Commissioner of Police EKiti command, Etop James."
Spokesman for the Osun Police Command, SP Folashade Odoro, who confirmed the release on Friday evening, said  the Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Fimihan Adeoye, led the rescue operation.
